What we collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your name and email address
• Your initial IP address and any IP addresses used to log in afterwards

We also use Google products (like Maps and Analytics) to improve the experience on the site, and Cloudflare Turnstile to keep bots out of our registration process.

We use cookies (just the digital kind) to help run the site smoothly and understand how people use it. By continuing to use Sort My Route, you’re happy with that.

Your account and privacy

• You can create an account to access personalised features.
• Want to leave? No problem – just head to your profile, click “Edit Profile,” and you’ll see the option to delete your account.
• You can also delete any of your journeys or switch them between private and public under My Journeys.”
• We retain your data for up to 7 days after account deletion before it's fully removed from our systems.

Comments

• You can leave comments on routes or posts.
• Comments can be edited or deleted by you at any time.
• We ask that all comments remain respectful – no offensive, sexist, homophobic or otherwise inappropriate content. We reserve the right to remove anything that doesn't follow this guideline.

Security

We take security seriously. That's why we use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our registration process. If our systems detect anything unusual, you might be asked to complete an extra security check – just to keep things safe for everyone.

Emails and communication

• We don’t send marketing emails.
• The only email you’ll ever get from us is if you request a password reset.

Sharing data

We don’t sell your data or share it with anyone, apart from the services we use to run the site (Google and Cloudflare).

Age restrictions

• Sort My Route is not intended for anyone under 13.
• If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has created an account, please get in touch and we’ll delete it right away.

Why we ask you to sign up

At the moment, you need an account to use the route planner. This helps us prevent misuse of our mapping services.

Changes to this page

We might occasionally update these terms or privacy details. If we do, we’ll post the changes right here so you can stay in the loop.
